Canter’s Deli

Talk about a Los Angeles landmark ! Canter’s has been in Los Angeles since 1931. Now it stands on Miracle Mile. They are open 24 hours a day and serve breakfast all day. This is the perfect place to get traditional deli food. The bakery is always busy especially right before high holidays.
Their business has expanded so much, that they even have a food truck and a location at Dodger stadium.
Venue:

There is both street parking and a private parking lot (make sure that you get validated)

The miracle mile location is huge ! It has tables and booths, no outdoor seating. There is an upstairs and a downstairs. When you walk in, you will find the bakery counter, which is stacked with pastries, candies, and breads. As you make your way to the heart of the building there are plenty of tables and booths for seating. This is definitely a place that could use some updating, but for some reason I believe that updating would make it lose that certain je ne sais quoi.

Food:

Looking for some deli style comfort food. This is the place to go. The menu is endless here- sandwiches, soups, salads, fries, Jewish cuisine, American cuisine, pasta, etc.
I love getting the grilled veggie sandwich, with homemade chips, and pickles (YUM!)
You will get hefty portions and you will leave full.

Service:
The staff is always friendly and very attentive. Despite the abundant menu, they seem to know the menu well and are always able to provide their personal opinion on the dish, when asked.
