The French are known for their cooking. They are culinary masters. The owner of this restaurant was trained in France and is a well-known pastry chef. You Can imagine the caliber of cooking that you will find here.
This cafe is located inside a shopping center. There is a parking lot for this shopping center; however, there is also ample street parking and metered parking available.
It is kind of hidden behind a staircase. I think this provides a nice shade during the warm California days. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I’d much prefer to eat inside. Since it’s a small location you feel the warmth from all the baking and the smells of parties and coffee. It’s decorated in such a quaint manner. You just feel like you’ve left Beverly Hills and entered a coffee shop in a French village.
Everything that I have tried here is delicious. The cronuts are a MUST. On this day I had the eggplant Panini. Their baguette is so crunchy and soft at the same time. It has roasted eggplant, bell peppers, and tahini. Don’t forget to ask for no cheese. It is a massive sandwich and perfect for two meals.
The staff here is always busy. Everyone is very matter of fact. I wouldn’t say that the staff is super friendly or mean. They greet you, take your order, and get you your food. They are polite and efficient.
I do love that I can phone in orders and pick them up.
